Many students are having troubles setting up their VCCS email account on their Android device. Here is a quick guide on setting up VCCS email on your Android devices.

First of all, make sure to enable IMAP in your VCCS Gmail settings

1. Sign in to VCCS Gmail.
2. Click the  gear in the top right. 
3. Select Settings.
4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
5. Select Enable IMAP.
6. Click Save Changes.

For Android Device:

1. On your phone, press < Home >, then open the Email application.
2. Type in your full Email address: johndoe@email.vccs.edu and password
3. Click IMAP.
4. For username type in your full Email address: johndoe@vccs.email.edu
5. For IMAP server, type: imap.gmail.com
6. For Port number, type: 993
7. For Security type, choose: SSL (always)
8. On the next screen, it is Outgoing Server Settings.
9. For username type in your full Email address: johndoe@vccs.email.edu
10. For SMTP Server, type: smtp.gmail.com
11. For Port number, type: 465
12. For Security type, choose: SSL (always)
13. Now your account is set up.
