AL WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS

AL Campus New Academic Building Under Construction

AL Campus Announcement !!!

We are excited to update you that the construction for our new academic building has officially begun!

If you peruse out of any of the east-side windows located at the Bisdorf Building, you will notice our Mount Vesuvius.  It is the first phase of construction, which is going quite well.

In addition, faculty and staff are diligently working on furniture orders and other preparations for the new state-of-the art facility.  The contractors are moving as swiftly as possible to complete this project on time.

The construction project began in early-August 2014 and we hope to complete this project by June 2016.  We hope that everyone join in our excitement, as we continue on this journey.

We will keep you posted on our AL Campus “NEW” Academic Building blog (http://blogs.nvcc.edu/alnab/ ), as we move into various phases of the project.

Teatro Milagro Bilingual Play and Workshop

AL Campus Event !!!

In Cuentame Coyote, two cousins are abandoned in the desert, crossing the border with a “Coyote”. In their struggle for survival they encounter coyotes with two legs and four along with a host of other spirits along their journey. The play was developed after an intensive research trip to the Tohono O’odham reservation in Arizona. Sacred stories combined with migrant tales of the dangers of dehydration, snake bite and scorpions in the desolate 100 degree desert heat fuel the storyline of this new Milagro work.

Erubiel Valladares joins Milagro this season in the title role of Coyote. Ajai Terrazas Tripathi and Alida Holquín Wilson-Gunn are the two cousins and Mariel Sierra plays various roles.
