LYCEUM SERIES COMMITTEE

LYCEUM SERIES COMMITTEE

Dearest Alexandria Campus,

This week I will be hosting a few meetings of the Lyceum Series Committee.  I realize that picking one time is difficult considering everyone’s course schedule.1234

It has been my goal to see this committee as interdisciplinary and include ALL members of our college/campus community: STUDENTS, STAFF, and FACULTY.  Also, ALL viewpoints are welcome – the Committee doesn’t intend to push any particular view or ideology – we want diverse opinions and ideas.  Of course, we tend to dance with those who show up, so PLEASE show up.

Also, we have limited funding to pay a few speakers a modest honorarium.   My office is in room AA-427 of the Bisdorf Building.

Please let me know which of the below times work best for you and email me at jlechelt@nvcc.edu.  If you’re interested and those times don’t work, let me know and I’ll look into different options.

Here are the meeting options:

  • Wednesday, 17 September 2014 | 4pm – 5pm | AA-427

I am unable to book the conference room in 427, so depending on how many people come by this time, I may need to book a room elsewhere.  For now, we’ll find a spot in 427 to chat. justify;”>

  • Thursday, 18 September 2014 | 11am – noon | Conference room of AA-427

Time:2:00 Pm – 3:15 Pm

This event is FREE and OPEN TO ALL!

The Lyceum Committee is dedicated to creating events that appeal to a broad array of interests.  Ultimately, we hope that people will attend these events PARTICULARLY if the events are NOT in their areas of interest, in order to learn about things that we don’t normally come in contact with, and to meet members of our college community that we don’t get to spend enough time with.
