What a Success!

Wow, we had a tremendous turnout to meet the company representatives from Tru DIVA Productions and Hollywood Outlaws during our actor/model/intern casting event yesterday.

If you missed the excitement, please post a comment on this blog and I will try to reach out to you for inclusion in their furture projects.  However, they are casting now, so do not hesitate.

Also, please read the previous post to find out how to enter the week-long raffle for some great prizes.

And, on a final note, next week, we should have an idea of the release of the new music video from WorstKase Scenario and we will start a daily look at the different film courses being offered on the Woodbridge campus of NOVA.

On Golden Pond Festival

Become an actor and/or model!!!

On Wednesday, April 25th, the Tutors Club of the Woodbridge campus is sponsoring an event on the first floor atrium from 1:00 to 3:00 for all of those students interested in taking their first step into a career in acting or modeling.

There will be representatives from both Tru DIVA Productions and Hollywood Outlaws Productions looking to increase their presence in our community and build their database of available actors and models, including casting for a current feature-length independent film.  Have your picture taken for their future projects and discuss your own future with the company representatives.

Are you looking to be behind the scenes, well, they are also looking for interns for their current movie, Famika Vs. the Tea Party.

This opportunity could be a once in a lifetime chance at becoming a celebrity.

Rainbow Town

On Monday, April 23rd, PTK is sponsoring a return visit of the award winning documentary, Rainbow Town.

The screening is from 6:00pm-9:30pm (including Q&A session with the filmmakers after the viewing) at the Freedom High School auditorium,

There will be a raffle for those in attendance, including an XBox 360+Kinect bundle.

The screening is absolutely free!

Videos are Coming!

A big inspiration for this Site is to display the video works of our students here on the Woodbridge campus of NOVA.  As such, we are in the process of doing a test in the coming week to get some videos posted for everyone to view.

Also, at the conclusion of the semester, we will post many of the final individual video projects of our students from PHT 130 and their documentary of the making of the music video for the newly signed band WorstKase Scenario.

And speaking of the music video, stay tuned for the on-line premiere of the music video for Dangerous Girl and hear about all of the work that went into this production that was completed by our PHT 130 students working in partnership with 522 Productions.

Welcome to the New Site

Welcome to all of our new visitors to the launch of this blog site to promote the film/video courses that are offered here on the Woodbridge campus of NOVA and to share the work of current and past students.

Stay tuned for future posts with information about course offerings, new technology in the field, or film-related events.

Please let us know what it is you want to see from this Site and come back often with your comments so we can continue to grow and learn from each other.

All the best,

Chris Stallings
