Classroom Visit: Students often need a face to put with a statement of services. To give an overview of the services we offer in the Academic Success Center, an ASC staff member can visit your class to discuss our goals, services, and more. To schedule a visit, please complete this FORM. We ask that classroom visits please be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible.
Academic Success Center Tour: Take a trip with your students! Faculty may request a Center visit and tour from a friendly and knowledgeable ASC team member. Please complete this FORM to request a tour.
Academic Skills Workshop: Do you find that your students need a particular skill set to be successful in your class and beyond? Our learning specialists can work with you to develop a custom workshop to help support your students’ reading, note-taking, time management, critical thinking, and more. For more information, or to schedule a customized workshop on a particular topic, please complete this FORM.
Student Referral: Do you have a student who you think would benefit from one-on-one peer tutoring? Please complete this FORM and an ASC team member will reach out to your student to schedule an appointment.
Tutor Recommendation: The Academic Success Center is now accepting applications for Peer Tutors. Some of our best tutors were once your students. We hope that you’ll continue to refer your engaged, interested, successful students to us as potential tutors. We look for students who’ve been successful in a discipline, show an interest in the college experience, are friendly and engaged, and demonstrate good communication skills. Our requirements for employment are: enrollment in at least 6 credit hours per semester; 3.0 GPA; and a grade of A or B in the course they wish to tutor. Please encourage your eligible student to complete the tutor application and submit it to the ASC. We appreciate your continued support!
Feedback: As always, we appreciate your feedback and support as we continue to improve our Center! Please complete our FORM to leave anonymous feedback.
