What is a Folio?
Folio is a Portfolium product native to Canvas. It is a digital space to build online portfolios, where your students can curate their achievements, projects, and competencies to exhibit their talent to prospective employers.
Why Folio?
Portfolium is an excellent portfolio building tool available with your Canvas Account for free. Each student or faculty can showcase their work in several different networking, social media, and portfolio building sites. Using Portfolium, you can:
- Connect with professors, other students, and potential employers
- Share your work with other Portfolium users
- Import projects from Canvas assignment submissions
- Demonstrate your skills to future teammates, reviewers, employers, or educational programs
- Document the details of your projects.

How to set up a Folio Account?
- Log in to Canvas
- In the Global navigation, click on “Account”
- Select “Folio” from the drop-down menu
- Click on your name to be taken to Portfolium.
