This workshop will offer strategies and tools for prioritizing tasks, working more efficiently, and keeping track of everything.

One of the things that the most successful students do is to plan out their semester from the start. Don’t have experience with that type of planning? Don’t worry! This workshop will walk you through the process of mapping out your semester and anticipating your workload. Bring your syllabi and schedules for papers and exams; you will leave with a plan of action that will help you start the semester strong.

Academic Skills Workshops for Spring 2016

Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:00 pm in AA-229

Last semester, many students told us that they would have loved to attend some of our workshops, but that they had class on Wednesdays at noon. To address those kinds of scheduling conflicts, we have decided to offer each workshop twice during the spring semester.

Workshops are free to all NOVA students. No registration is necessary; just drop by. There will be snacks! A description of all the workshops can be found at this link: Spring 2016 Brown Bag Series.

Finals Prep Week and Final Exam Jam!

Attend ASC’s Finals Prep Week funded by Student Life! These quick, 30 minute workshops will help you get on track for your upcoming final exams! ASC Tutors will be out in full force Friday, December 11th providing walk-in tutoring for several subjects. Students can work with knowledgeable peer tutors to jump start and finish out the Finals Prep Week. Success coaches will be on hand to help students develop and execute their study plans to ensure they are prepared for their finals without being overwhelmed.

**Snacks, drinks, and prizes will also be available**
