The mission of the Office of Wellness and Mental Health is to provide assistance, resources, support, and interventions to members of the NOVA community in order to positively impact emotional development, healthy social skills and enhance academic success focusing on the individual as a whole: mind, body, and spirit.

The Office of Wellness and Mental Health is a hub for students to connect to resources and services related to wellness and mental health. While Virginia law prohibits us from providing direct services to students, we can provide referrals to:

  • Mental health providers
  • Addiction prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • Supplemental food, housing, and utilities support
  • Veterans support
  • Grief support
  • LGBTQIA support
  • Legal resources
  • Medical/health care
