You will read the chapter and the notes to review/understand graphing.

Concepts to understand:

Why do we graph data?

Be able to read/create/understand these types of graphs: histograms, scatterplots, line graphs, bar graphs, and bubble graphs

Be able to recognize/interpret a nonlinear and a linear scatterplot

Be able to examine/interpret bar graphs with differing y-axes

Be able to read/interpret time series graphs. Look at trends over time. For graphs with 2+ lines, compare across the lines too.

What are the guidelines for creating good graphs?

Be able to perform and interpret any SPSS procedures that we do for this chapter.
