Course description:

Psy 202 is the continuation from Psy 201. It will introduce you to many of the major fields and theories of psychology. It will cover several topics, including learning, memory, thinking, intelligence, personality, psychological disorders, therapy, and social psychology. You will also gain an understanding of scientific methods and their use for studying human behavior; apply concepts from psychology to new situations; enhance your understanding of global and domestic cultures; and develop skills in reading research materials, writing, thinking critically, and presenting ideas orally.

Textbook:

The textbook is Psychology, 11th Edition, (2015) by David Myers & C. Nathan DeWall (Macmillan Publishers). We will also be using the electronic portal called LaunchPad. I will give information about this during the first week of classes.
